Bittery

Bittery combines CoreDAO non-custodial BTC staking with an on-chain lottery mechanism — giving you the chance to win the full yield from the lottery while keeping your BTC safe and locked in your own wallet. All users keep full control of their BTC, and one lucky winner takes home all the rewards.

Quick Overview

  • Stake BTC on Bitcoin network with a minimum of 0.01 BTC.

  • BTC remains non-custodial — your BTC is never moved, bridged, or wrapped. It stays time-locked in your own wallet.

  • Deposit Period: You can join and deposit your BTC lock proof at any time before the current round ends. Deposit your BTC lock proof means assigning your BTC staking rewards to the Bittery prize pool.

  • Round Duration: A new round starts every month, and each round ends with a single on-chain draw.

  • Prize pool: Once the vault ends, all staking rewards accumulated during the vault’s duration are pooled — and one winner is randomly selected on-chain to receive the full yield.

  • Withdraw Period: You can withdraw your BTC lock proof within the first 5 days of a round. After that, withdrawals reopen only after the draw is completed.

How Bittery Works

Deposit & Enter

Lock your BTC non-custodially with a minimum of 0.01 BTC to help secure the Core chain and earn staking rewards. To enter Bittery, deposit your BTC lock proof into the vault.

circle-check

Your odds of winning are based on how much reward your BTC lock generates relative to the total pool. More contribution = better odds.

You can leave the Bittery by withdrawing your BTC lock proof anytime within the first 5 days of a new round. After that, you can not leave and your BTC lock proof is locked to contribute rewards to prize pool until the round ends and a winner is drawn.

Wait for the Draw

All staking rewards from BTC locks during the round go into the Bittery prize pool. At the end of the round, one winner is randomly selected on-chain and gets 100% of the prize pool (minus fees).

Want to increase your chances next round? Just lock and deposit more BTC.

Claim & Withdraw

If you win, you can claim your prize immediately after the draw.

If your BTC is still under time-lock after the round ends, it will automatically roll over to the next round. You’ll have another 5-day window at the start of the next round to withdraw if you don’t want to continue.

Bittery Rounds

Each Bittery round runs on a monthly schedule.

  • Any BTC locks deposited during the round will have their rewards pooled together.

  • Only rewards generated within the round’s timeframe count toward the prize.

  • The winner is selected at the end of the round using on-chain randomization (Switchboard VRF).

  • BTC locks can be added at any time before the current round ends.

Prize Funding & Staking Rewards

All rewards come directly from the non-custodial BTC staking mechanisms. Bittery does not lend, wrap, or custody BTC. Users lock BTC directly on the Bitcoin network, and yield is generated by helping secure Core chain.

Each round's prize pool comes exclusively from rewards earned during that round duration, after deducting a vault fee.

Rewards generated after the round ends are either:

  • Rolled into the next round, or

  • Returned to you if you’ve withdrawn your BTC lock proof.

How to Win – Odds Calculation

Your odds are based on how much reward you contribute to the pool.

For example, if your BTC lock earns 1,000 CORE in staking rewards during the round, and the total pool is 10,000 CORE, your odds of winning are 1 in 10.

Only one winner is drawn per round.

Risks – Important!

Your BTC stays non-custodial, time-locked in your own wallet. You control your keys at all times. You never transfer it to the Bittery contract. Bittery only handles reward assignment, prize draws, and prize distribution.

However, if you do not win, you will not receive any rewards — all yield goes to the winner.

Please assess your risk preference before participating.

Fees

5% of each round’s prize pool is deducted as a vault fee. Fees are used to sustain vault operations and may be adjusted in future versions.
