# Stake BABY

This guide walks you through how to stake your BABY tokens into a co-staking Order on the b14g Merge Marketplace. By participating, you help secure Babylon Genesis and earn boosted co-staking rewards alongside BTC stakers.

### **Prepare Your Babylon Wallet**

Before staking, ensure:

* You have a **Babylon Genesis mainnet wallet** (e.g., Keplr, OKX, Leap).
* Your wallet is **funded with BABY tokens** for staking and gas fees.

*Visit the **b14g app interface** for the latest list of supported wallets.*

### **Go to Merge Marketplace**

Navigate to the [**b14g Merge Marketplace**](https://app.b14g.xyz/marketplace/babylon) on the Babylon Genesis chain.

### **Browse Orders**

* Browse the list of **active orders** displayed on the marketplace. Each Order represents a BTC staker seeking BABY co-stakers.
* Review key details such as: APR, Reward-sharing ratio, Validator.
* Click on an Order that best matches your staking preferences to view more details.

### **Stake BABY**

On the Order details page:

1. Connect your Babylon wallet. Ensure you're on the **Babylon Genesis mainnet** network.
2. Enter the **amount of BABY** you want to stake.
   * Keep a small reserve for transaction fees.
   * You can use the **MAX** button to stake your full available balance or the maximum order capacity, it automatically leaves enough balance to cover gas fees.
3. Click **“Proceed to Stake.”**
4. Confirm the transaction in your Babylon wallet.

Your BABY will be delegated to the validator specified in the Order via Babylon’s Epoching module. It will also be matched with BTC in that Order, enabling you to earn both staking and co-staking rewards.

### **Activate Stake & Co-Staking**

The Babylon Genesis chain uses an **epoch-based** staking mechanism. Your staking transaction is confirmed immediately, but your stake becomes becomes **active** only after the **current epoch ends** (every \~1 hour or 360 Babylon Genesis blocks).

You can monitor your **pending** BABY stake either in the Order page *(for a specific co-staking position)*, or in [**My Portfolio**](https://app.b14g.xyz/my-portfolio) page *(for a full overview of your assets).*

Once your stake is **activated**:

* You begin earning **BABY staking rewards**.
* You also receive **co-staking rewards** from the BTC Order (proportional to your share).

### Auto-compounding Rewards

Rewards are distributed **every Babylon block**. All rewards are **automatically reinvested** into the order you joined — no manual claiming required. Over time, this increases your **staked balance** and boosts your total yield.
