The Merge Marketplace is a platform that connects BTC holders and CORE holders for dual-staking on Core Chain. BTC holders can create Merge orders, while CORE holders can match these orders, enabling both to share the highest reward tier from Core Chain dual-staking.
Short Answer: To achieve higher dual-staking yields even if you’re short on capital.🤑😆
Long Answer:
Dual-staking on Core offers great APYs, but it requires you to deposit both BTC and CORE in a specific ratio. If you’re missing one, you can still participate, but your yield will DROP significantly.
That’s where Merge Marketplace comes in. It connects stakers who complement each other. For example, if you have BTC but no CORE, you can team up with someone who has CORE but lacks BTC. Together, you can dual-stake and share rewards, reaching the highest yield tiers without needing extra capital. It’s an easy way to maximize your returns without stretching your budget.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure you have the following ready:
The Merge Marketplace runs on the Core Chain mainnet.
Make sure you have enough CORE in your wallet for gas fees.
Once you have everything set up, you’re ready to dive in!
If you’re a BTC holder looking to create a Merge order, follow these steps:
Go to Merge Marketplace and connect your wallet.
On the main screen, find and click the ‘Create Order’ button.
Enter the percentage of rewards you want to keep, and the remainder will go to future CORE holders. Please keep in mind that the reward shared portion only applies to the additional rewards gained through CORE dual-staking. Your original BTC staking rewards stay yours and aren’t affected.
That’s it! Your order is now live. Wait for CORE holders to match with your BTC to enable dual-staking.
Why haven't my merge order shown up in marketplace?
As with all blockchain transactions, it's not instantaneous. Bitcoin deposits take about 6 blocks to confirm. Once confirmed, your order will appear in the marketplace.
Visit the ‘My Order’ tab to view your created orders.
If you’re a CORE holder ready to match a BTC Merge order, here’s how to do it:
Go to Merge Marketplace and connect your wallet.
Review the list of active Merge orders displayed on the main screen.
Choose an order that best suits your staking preferences and click on it to view the details, such as reward sharing and BTC staked amounts.
That’s it! Your CORE will be merged with the BTC staker’s order, enabling dual-staking on the Core Chain.
